Experiencing Bruckner without barriers

Accessibility

The Upper Austrian KulturEXPO Anton Bruckner 2024 wanted to make a contribution to promoting a culture of accessibility for all. It was very important to us to make the diverse program of events created jointly by and with many committed contributors accessible to anyone interested. Why was this important? Because we are all confronted with one barrier or another - temporarily or for a longer period of time - and we rarely manage to avoid them.

We are actively committed to providing comprehensive information on accessibility for over 500 events. However, we were unable to provide any guarantees for external partners. Nevertheless, we made every effort to enable all interested parties to participate in the diverse program of the Bruckner Year.

Arrival

The Bruckner Year 2024 took place at several venues, for which we promoted public transportation. Many of our venues were accessible by public transport.

Upper Austrian Transport Association

The city and regional buses (low-floor buses, wheelchair ramps or lifts) of the Upper Austrian Transport Association as well as the majority of trains in Upper Austria are barrier-free. Accessible connections can be found in the timetable information of the Upper Austrian Transport Association on the website and in the OÖVV app.

ÖBB

The accessibility of Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) trains varies due to the diversity of the fleet and is therefore dynamic. Before starting a journey, it is strongly recommended to check the current accessibility with the help of the timetable information.

ÖBB offers comprehensive information on accessibility, including an information page on barrier-free travel - oebb.at on barrier-free travel, details on station and train equipment, an overview of ÖBB stations and the option to register online for train travel. If you have any questions, please contact ÖBB customer service at 00430517175.
