Every Sunday is a Suuuperkultur family Sunday! From May 4 to October 27, the exhibition How it all began. Bruckner's Visions at St. Florian Abbey opens its doors to take visitors into the fascinating world of Anton Bruckner! Both young people and adults can develop their creative ideas and immerse themselves in the world of the composer and St. Florian Abbey.

Embark on a unique musical journey through Upper Austria!
Music workshops will be offered at all KinderUni locations in summer 2024, giving curious minds the chance to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of Anton Bruckner for a day. In this music education project, young schlaufüchse will experience a creative combination of science and music, discovering old and new, classical and contemporary musical worlds. A summer full of new musical experiences and insights!

How it all began. Bruckner's visions

When we think of Anton Bruckner, we think of his masses and symphonies from the second half of his life. The Augustinian Canons' Monastery of St. Florian played a decisive role in his long personal and artistic development up to these top performances. He spent a total of 13 formative years, first as a choirboy, later as a teacher and provisional monastery organist, in an environment characterized by an enlightened Catholicism that was open to the sciences and social life. There, in a place of the world, the young village teacher's son searched tenaciously and also conflict-ridden for his identity as an artist.

Experience interactive discovery tours in Anton Bruckner's footsteps! With hublz, the cool free app, families, groups and school classes can explore 8 places that Anton Bruckner visited and shaped.

The joint search leads right through the city of Linz, right across the "Bruckner heartland" of Linz-Land and in all directions in Upper Austria.

The aim is to solve fun tasks to find out more about Anton's eventful life, get to know the respective location and successfully complete the relaxed round - and the person who collects enough points can win one of the great prizes!

Bruckner goes to the pub

Bruckner goes Wirtshaus brings a small, fine ensemble of musicians from the Bruckner Orchestra Linz and the St. Florian Boys' Choir under the direction of Albert Landertinger and Markus Stumpner into the good parlor. Together with the audience, an entertaining concert format is created with humorous conférences, open music-making and singing for young and old. Your own instruments are very welcome!
