Ternberg

This device combines organ playing and an ensemble of adapted  playground equipment in a move to create a collective musical instrument in a public space. Different organ pipes are operated by swinging them and bobbing them up and down - this creates an acoustic space in the organ playground that makes Anton Bruckner audible and tangible in both an abstract and playful way.
The SCHORGEL will be set up in various Bruckner-related locations in 2024.

- Schorgel (home-made organ) (already from Pentecost Sunday, 19 May, 2024 from 15:00 to 19:00 and on Pentecost Monday, 20 May, 2024 from 11:00 to 15:00)

There is a set Anton Bruckner meal at the Marktwirt Derfler, as the artist stopped at this inn several times with his friend, the music director of Steyr,  Franz Bayer, and stayed here overnight. Anton Bruckner was put on a diet by his doctor and was then no longer allowed to order a "hearty" meal, but his companion was. And so, it happened that Anton Bruckner ate up all the smoked meat with semolina dumplings and sauerkraut on his companion's plate.

Small, fine exhibition with works of art by Otmar Wallenta on the subject of Anton Bruckner and a limited special print "Bruckner in Ternberg" with a Bruckner silver coin included.
