Bad Ischl

The inhabitants of the 72 Brucknerstreets, alleys, paths and squares throughout Upper Austria receive a visit. From David Wagner, who travels the famous destinations by cargo bike, completely unmotorized. Not without the sheet music of the nine Bruckner symphonies in his luggage. And not without his helmet camera, which he needs to record the encounters with the people at his destinations on video.
For these are asked for audio donations of 15-second motifs from the 9 Bruckner symphonies - from which David Wagner then creates a 9-minute film with Bruckner's 9 symphonies in the interpretation of a more or less random cross-section of the Upper Austrian population. Plus another cinematic 9-minute film documenting his 24 outings. One as well as the other can be seen in the fall of 2024.

David Wagner

The Parzival Dome in the ice caves of the Dachstein in Obertraun is one of the most remarkable auditoriums in the world, which, beyond its atmosphere and ambience, also impresses with its acoustics. In the two concerts initiated by Bad Ischl pianist Peter Brugger, it is a Schimmel glass grand piano that plays the main acoustic role amid the ice and rock formations.
For both performances, compositions will be commissioned: One under the motto Locus iste, the other in a collaboration with Ars Electronica and for a piece that incorporates electronic instruments and is accompanied by a visual staging.

The 7th Symphony of the composer who regularly came to Bad Ischl for the birthday of Emperor Franz Joseph I and liked to call himself "the emperor's organist", will conclude the KIRCH'KLANG Festival 2023.

For many years Martin Haselböck and his Orchestra  Wiener Akademie have been well known at global level  for their interpretation of romantic orchestral works in their original sound.

A saltworks is where salt is extracted. And, there is no better place to get a taste of the basic crystalline structure of Bruckner's music. Numerous choirs from Upper Austria, the Bruckner Orchestra Linz and Markus Poschner convene in the vast production hall of the saltworks of Ebensee for a first-class and unique Bruckner event. Motets, symphonic parts, improvised and unexpected, will be presented in a very distinctive environment.
