The fact that you can get art from a vending machine just like chewing gum, snacks or drinks is no longer something entirely new. However, the inventor of the art vending machine, Helene Huemer, fills it with sculptures, medals, scrolls and drawings as well as comics in the style of Bruckner. The machine is now going on tour through Upper Austria and demands to be filled again and again by creative people. There is a hands-on table for both the young and old where YOU can give your creativity free rein. Get in on the art: model, stamp, draw, write poetry and let us teleport Anton Bruckner, the organ rock star, into the here and now. Insert a 2 euro coin, spin it and plop! You will be rewarded with a surprise such as an original work of art from regional & international artists or from one of the participants.

The workshop is accessible for those with impaired mobility.

This device combines organ playing and an ensemble of adapted  playground equipment in a move to create a collective musical instrument in a public space. Different organ pipes are operated by swinging them and bobbing them up and down - this creates an acoustic space in the organ playground that makes Anton Bruckner audible and tangible in both an abstract and playful way.
The SCHORGEL will be set up in various Bruckner-related locations in 2024.

The SCHORGEL is coming to Attersee!
The organ playground can be experienced as part of: KIRCH'KLANG Festival Salzkammergut | Bruckner am Attersee

In the year 1864, Anton Bruckner visited Attersee at Lake Attersee several times. He was not yet a great symphonist at that time but he was the cathedral organist in Linz and the composer of numerous works of church music. The concert, which is part of a celebration in honour of the composer, will feature some of these. The local singing group will take part in the celebration which includes the festive tapping of a local beer specialty in honour of Anton Bruckner.

Symphonic music affects us without words as does dance. In the former, art is expressed as a sound and in the latter, art is predominantly visible. Approaching Anton Bruckner's 9th Symphony, for Compositional transfer inbodied "I ANTON " we worked on a method of translation which should help musical structures to shift from a space filled with sound to a space filled with movement. This performance does not just dance to the music or its mood, rather it repeats its forms even in the physical realm, and even attempts to dance with Anton beyond the unfinished end through the movements which develop from this.
